Andrew Tamarkin is an actor, writer, and film producer in Los Angeles, California.
As his creative debut, he wrote and produced The Promise of the Butterfly, a power-of-art feature-length film that premiered at the 2019 Vail Film Festival and is available on Prime Video. Currently, he works in-house at LATV Networks (LatiNation Media), where he writes and produces their flagship queer talk show The Q Agenda, which won a 2025 GLAAD Media Award for its 10th season. He also created and produces Imagen-award nominated docu-series Storytellers, and directs short-form series Living y Ready.
As an actor, he will be seen on Netflix this fall as “Sage” in the film Efflorescence (Dir. Sofia Garza-Barba). As for the indie landscape, highlights include “Zac” in Mother’s Love (Dir. Isaac Josephthal, Prod. Emma Steiger), “Jean Paul” in Ultimately Cleansed (Dir. Andrew Tippie), "Adrian" in Purple Sky (Dir. Abby Royce), and “Noah” in award-winning TV Pilot, Feeling Vertigo (Dir. Charlotte Kennett). You can catch him as a recurring actor in the globally-popular Dhar Mann episodes on YouTube. He is signed to Baron Entertainment as an actor and studies with Ivana Chubbuck at her acting studio in Hollywood.
He is inspired by dynamic, larger-than-life characters that subtly push the status quo. Whatever the role and whatever the project, he is a natural collaborator, an artist at heart, and always comes prepared. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and being outside.
