Andrew Tamarkin is a writer, actor, and film producer in Los Angeles, California.

He was raised by a cast of storytellers. Most recently, Tamarkin starred as “Luca”, a leading role, in the independent 30-min pilot, Countdown, and as “Graham”, a leading role, in Skellien Films’ super-short film, The World Isn’t Ending. Tamarkin co-wrote, produced, and starred as “Noah” in the award-winning TV Pilot, Feeling Vertigo, a dark comedy directed by Charlotte Kennett and currently on the festival circuit. He was also seen as “French Waiter” in a Dhar Mann web-series episode. He is signed to Baron Entertainment as an actor and attends the Ivana Chubbuck Acting Studio in Hollywood.

As his creative debut, he wrote and co-produced The Promise of the Butterfly, a power-of-art feature-length film that premiered at the 2019 Vail Film Festival and is now available on Prime Video. Since then, he has produced music videos for artists signed to Columbia Records and Sony Music UK Limited. He co-wrote the short film, Elena, a short-film backed by the Vail Valley Foundation’s HER Film Camp. He is a contributing writer for LATV Networks. Additionally, he edited “Issue 004: A New Era” for Off-Kilter Magazine.

Right now, he is energized to be collaborating with Lana Dvorak, Anna Connelly, and the creative team behind I’m Not Like You. As “Nico”, he will bring his own queer expression to camera and pull inspiration from real-life struggles with his siblings.

He is inspired by dynamic, larger-than-life characters that subtly push the status quo. Whatever the role and whatever the project, he is a natural collaborator, an artist at heart, and always comes prepared. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and being outside.

Stories are the most precious gift to the world. Let’s make more :)
